Break the Chains

Break the Chains

Clean the cobwebs of thoughts
Broom the halls of your mind;
There is always more on your notes
than perceptions, you may find.
Free your mind of what it was;
look beyond the swamp that’s near;
make life in the bright light a cause
that illuminate your fears.
Life is not a dormant pasture
but hope and glory, eternal bond.
The present is a perceivable rapture,
a brighter future always beyond.
So, why should you or I dismay
if darkness covers this night?
A new tomorrow, a brighter day
always comes with greater might.
Open your arms, breathe deep
as if the air were running out;
walkout of your sluggish sleep,
walk into freedom and shout:
There is no better life than this
the only one for me, a  beautiful bliss.
